 The system automatically recognises the authorised driver of the vehicle by means of a Driver Authentication Device. This, together with the vehicle’s keys, enables the Trackstar 5 system to recognise the vehicle’s use as authorised. 

This means that if an unauthorised person attempts to drive the vehicle, a silent alert is sent to our Secure Control Centre and the tracking activated. 

The Control Centre will contact the customer, track the vehicle and liaise with the local police authorities to recover it. This service not only operates in the UK but also within Europe*. Suitable for Car, LCV, HGV, Plant, and Motor-Caravan vehicles, the system is fitted covertly by an independantly vetted and registered (VSIB**) installation engineer.

Trackstar 5 - How it works

If your vehicle is stolen within the UK or Europe*, a signal is sent, from the vehicle to our Secure Control Centre. Even if the vehicle is stolen with the keys, the system can recognise unauthorised movement and a silent alert will be sent to the Control Centre to start tracking. The vehicle’s location, speed and direction are continuously reported to the Control Centre using GPS positioning. Our Control Centre continually tracks the vehicle and maintains contact with the relevant police authorities right across Europe to help recover your vehicle.

The Service currently covers 31 countries*.

Running Cost: An annual subscription to the 24 hour tracking service of £149. Optional European tracking cover costs £30 per annum.
