Simply insert 4 X AA batteries (not supplied) and the Caravanguard GPS is ready to start reporting.
Not difficult set up or registration.
As soon as the Caravanguard GPS detects movement, it will start sending its GPS position to the free2track website.
All you do is go onto the web & you can look at the caravans current position, you can also look at the routes it has taken as it will show you its past position at 15 minutes increments.
All this data is stored in a history file so you can be retrieved at any time.
Once the Caravan stops moving for more then 15 Minutes, the unit will send it’s last know position then go to sleep until the bike moves again.
Reports are sent at 15-minute intervals whenever there is motion; status messages are sent once every week when the device is at rest. Upon powering up, the device will self-initialize anywhere in the world and start transmitting if an authorized GSM network is available.
No Text message costs
The Caravanguard GPS uses GPRS to send its positional data, so unlike a lot of systems, you are not faced with expensive text messages every time your bike moves.
On average you can send 1300 positions for the cost of 1megabit of GPRS data if you used your bike for 3 hours, seven days a week. You could use it constantly for 92 days for the cost of 1 megabit of data, which costs around £10.00.
